Caribbean Cruises

Dec. 17 - Dec. 24   Offshore Sailing Voyage

 Dominican Republic to Cartagena Columbia.

Join the ship in the DR and sail across the Caribbean to Columbia.  This is your chance to do an offshore passage, learn celestial navigation, fish for tuna, mahi and wahoo, and experience some great sailing aboard this 105' 3-masted schooner!  You will be standing watch and participating in the operation of the ship as crew on this voyage.  Your watchstanding duties will include taking your trick at the helm, act as lookout for the vessel, help with sail handling and ships chores including galley duty.  A Physical Exam is required for this trip.  This is for the fit adult who is very comfortable out of doors and can withstand the physical challenges of rough weather or perhaps seasickness.  You will join in Luperon, DR and spend the first night aboard at anchor.  The next day after your ship orientation we will depart for the 5 day voyage to Cartagena.  You will have one night aboard once we arrive n Cartagena.

Dec. 30 - Jan.5    New Years Voyage

Cartagena to Kuna Yala

Join the ship in Cartagena and spend 1 night aboard at anchor. You will be able to explore the beautiful Spanish city of Cartagena before we depart. Then experience 2 nights of offshore sailing to Panama.  Watch the stars at night and the dolphins play at the bow as we sail downwind to the San Blas Islands. You then get to enjoy 3 nights anchored in the San Blas Islands snorkeling the beautiful reefs and seeing how the Kuna Indians live.  You will be participating crew and standing watch for the 2 day sailing voyage to Panama.  This trip is for the fit adult who is very comfortable out of doors and can withstand the physical challenges of rough weather or perhaps seasickness.  Physical Exam required.

San Blas Islands Cruises

Jan. 8  thru  Feb. 13

Spend a week cruising the Islands of Kuna Yala.  Snorkel on the vibrant reefs, kayak thru the mangroves or take a guided River Trip thru the rainforest aboard a local log canoe.  See how the Kuna Indians live day to day while staying on board the Alliance.  We will be anchored at a different island each night.  You are not required to help with the sailing but you are welcome to participate if you choose.  No physical required.  Must be able to climb up a 6' swim ladder to get out of the water on to the ship.

Join the Alliance in San Blas Islands of Panama and experience the windy season for some great kiting and kayaking with expert kiteboard instructor Dave Burden from  Southeast Expeditions as your guide.   Get some pointers on improving your skill, or just get out there and surf!  This is not for the novice.  Must have some kiting experience.  (There are always kayaks and snorkeling if the wind is not blowing...)

Feb. 15 - 24   Coastal and Offshore Cruising

San Blas to Isla Providencia

10 days, 9 nights   $1,875 per person

This trip encompasses a variety of different experiences, including some ocean voyaging and exploring new ports.  You will have 2 nights aboard in the San Blas Islands, then an overnight sail to Portobelo Panama.  We will stay in Portobello for 3 nights.  There you can explore 3 sets of ruins that were once guarding the deep water harbor.

Then we have a 3 day passage to Isla Providencia, 150 miles off the coast of Nicaragua.  This english-speaking island is owned by Columbia.  The Island is a beautiful unspoiled destination with great snorkelling and friendly people.   You will have one night aboard after we arrive in Isla Providencia.  This cruise is for the fit adult who is very comfortable out of doors and can withstand the physical challenges of rough weather or perhaps seasickness.  Physical Exam required.

March 1 - 10    Offshore Cruising

Isla Providencia to Belize

10 days, 9 nights   $1,875 per person

On this trip you will join the Alliance in Isla Providencia and enjoy 2 days here exploring the island and snorkelling the vibrant reefs.  We will depart Providencia March 3rd for the 4 day voyage to Belize.  You will be standing watch and participating as crew on this voyage. Once in Belize we will explore the reefs of the Barrier Islands until your departure March 10.  This cruise is for the fit adult who is very comfortable out of doors and can withstand the physical challenges of rough weather or perhaps seasickness.  Physical Exam required.

March 12 - March 27   Cruising Belize

7 days, 6 nights   $1,875 per person

Snorkell the Barrier Reefs of Belize,  Swim with the Whale Sharks or just soak up some rays while relaxing aboard Alliance.
